Why do I need training?
Training is a legal requirement if you use a 4x4 or ATV in the course of your work. Employers are required to provide adequate training and to ensure that these versatile vehicles are only driven by employee who have received appropriate training in their safe use. Self employed users are also require to comply with the legislation.
4x4 Courses
Professional Off-Road Driving
This is an integrated training and assessment course leading to a Certificate of Basic Training, where clients are taught the correct procedures in operating a 4x4 in an off-road environment. The use of a 4x4 off-road differs markedly from an on-road situation and requires specialist knowledge in order to safely operate the vehicle.

4x4 Driver Training Day - 'Clubman Course'
Watch Out For Our Next Date To Be Announced Here Soon
Our Clubman Course is a good starting point for novice drivers and will also benefit drivers with some experience looking to consolidate their skills. This is a NON certificated course but will be run by LANTRA approved 4x4 instructors to the highest standards.
All the basics of off-road driving will be covered including: Hill Ascent, Hill descent, Failed Hill Climb, Side Slopes, Ruts, Water, Mud (in abundance!) Gear Selection, Equipment etc.
A briefing will take place in the training centre prior to spending the rest of the day out on the track.
You should bring: Packed Lunch, Wellies, Waterproof Clothing, Change of clothing (just in case), Tow Strop and shackle. You should also bring your own 4x4 vehicle.
Cost: €100 driver, plus €30 per extra driver in the vehicle.
